The 2014 Spring/Summer Line up of shows is filling up and we look forward to heading back to some of our favorite venues as well as some new spots that are on the calendar.I know it's been an unusually tough winter on a lot of folks as far as weather and an inability to be out and about, so here's your chance to get out of the cabin and shake that fever!

We are excited about the material that we are writing and putting together for an upcoming recording. It's been awhile since we've visited our favorite Engineer - Lance Kohler - at Minimum Wage but we hope to have the writing concluded shortly and then we will begin fleshing out the songs so that we can get in and out of the studio and the release available as quickly as possible. This is very exciting to us because we haven't done a studio CD since Don't You Fold and this will be the first full studio project with Bob on the drums and Matt on bass.

We sure do look forward to seeing all of you as we are passing through so," Shake all the troubles from your worried mind", as Johnny Cash said, and come support the live music venue in your town! We look forward to seeing each and every one of you, up close and personal!"

Happy Halloween wishes to all of you folks keeping your fingers on the pulse of TOUGH DEAL!

We are all deeply concerned with our northern friends from DC to NY in the aftermath of Sandy. We hope this message finds you all safe. May you all stay strong and be back up and running in the very near future. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and we hope you know just how concerned we are for all of you.

The fall has been full of some terrific shows in some new venues and stops in some of our favorite local haunts. We’ve been running up and down the road from here to Northern Virginia. Trips down to Petersburg, Hopewell and the southern Tri-Cities area are coming up soon so stay tuned for details on that.

Recently we had the pleasure of performing at Innsbrook's PumpkinPalooza in Glen Allen. It was held at the SnagAJob Pavillion for the benefit of the Faison School for Autism. It was a wonderful fall afternoon and the weather cooperated as best it could. Lots of new and old friends stopped by and commented on just how cool the West Coast Blues sounded from the Innsbrook Stage. It was a blast! We had a ton of fun and it was our privilege to support such an outstanding event.

November always brings the spirit of thankfulness in front of us. Right now we are especially thankful for all of the venue owners that have partnered with us this year. Additionally, we want to thank Stone Music Management and Entertainment for all of their support and encouragement throughout this year.

Upcoming on the calendar are:
--A return trip to the best bar in the Universe -- Rose Marie Inn, this Friday
--Sunday, Nov 4, our very own Mark Saurs will be inducted into the Northern VA Blues Hall of Fame
--Saturday, Nov 17, we look forward to returning to Tobacco Company down in The Slip
--On Thanksgiving Day, we have a special show planned at Daddio’s Grille

Come out and see us soon. We always enjoy seeing you and knowing that you’re enjoying what we’re doing. In the meantime please know that all of us in TOUGH DEAL wish you and yours a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
